EQUIP COURSES

Equip Courses are offered on Saturdays throughout the year and are designed to develop Christ-followers through the learning of a skill or discipline for life application. The following are a few of the Equip Courses that we have offered in the past and will offer again in the future.

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors, and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Good Sense

We offer two financial Equip Courses called Good Sense. Good Sense 1.0 is designed for people who are in debt and want to get out of it; Good Sense 2.0 is designed for people who would like to learn how to better invest their money in the future. This Equip Course is offered in the spring and in the fall. The next Good Sense 1.0 will be on February 4th, 2012, and a Good Sense 2.0 course will be scheduled soon after.

Reading the Bible for All It's Worth

Although reading the Bible can often often be an exhausting and confusing exercise, this course focuses on how to get the most out of scripture. The next course will be offered in Spring 2012.

It's Easy Being Green: Serving God and Our Planet

Join us for an interactive discussion about how caring for the environment can bring us into more harmony and communion with God. We'll discover how making tiny changes in our daily lives can serve God's kingdom in a big way, and how we can do that in NYC and as a church community. Surprise Eco-goodies included! The next course will be offered in Spring 2012.

Spiritual Disciplines

This course is focused on developing practices that allow us to experience the reality of God's presence in our daily lives. The next Spiritual Disciplines course will be offered in Spring 2012.
